ASYMMETRY/BERLIN: the good, the bad, the unknown....

back from house of low culture/mamiffer shows in europe. thanks to all those who hosted us, attended the shows, and to the bands we played with at the various events. we hope there will be further opportunities for mamiffer and HOLC in europe as this was a positive introduction for both bands to foreign soil. above pictures from berlin show, courtesy of kelly akashi.

"yeah, right. great performance, great poster, great attitude to the people. unfortunately, Mr.Turner, i will not be able to listen to your work in this same way, i did it before the Assymetry HOLC show... in fact, i am quite incensed."

would the anonymous person who left this comment care to explain what i did to upset them? both mamiffer and HOLC made efforts to put on the best performance possible and to treat those in wroclaw with respect and gratitude. perhaps there's something i'm missing?

as stated in previous post house of low culture and mamiffer will be playing 2 shows in europe this month. the info is as follows:

- Apr 24 + 25 2009, Asymmetry Festival, Firlej, Wroclaw, Poland w/dälek, destructo swarmbots, oddatee, lvmen, etc
- Apr 27 2009, Cassiopeia, Berlin, Germany w/ Minsk

isis US tour now official-ized. playing w/keelhaul, mamiffer, pelican, helms alee, thrones, and tombs in various places and combinations. exclusive color of isis "wavering radiant" (clear/clear) available only at vacation vinyl in los angeles (starting 4/21), and from the band on tour in the US (starting 5/15). vacation also stocking other isis and hydra head rarities and lots of other hard to find new and used LPs. go vacation.


current: prurient/akitsa - split LP, oldest - demos, vhernen - untitled, xasthur - "all reflections drained", nortt - "galgenfrist".

some info on the vinyl:
there will be a preorder for the US version of the vinyl through the isis webstore which will include some or all of the following: slipmat, longsleeve, coffee mug. preorder should be up in a couple days. one colored vinyl version of the US 2xLP (ltd to 100 copies) will be available only at Vacation vinyl in los angeles (starting april 21), and on the first part of the upcoming ISIS US tour (starting may 15). the european version of the vinyl is already being sold via preorder through the conspiracy records website. the japanese 2 x picture disc vinyl will be made available first at the "leave them all behind" festival in tokyo (april 19), and subsequently through the inoxia records website.

greymachine and jodis artwork underway - asymmetry poster nearly done (collaboration with faith coloccia). randall dunn tapped to do new HOLC and other "secret" recordings. more on all that soon...
